The
PTBSC wishes to thank Marvel
Rapids and the Osborne
Family for the privilege of using their
property for the E-107 snowmobile trail these past
20 years! We respect their request to re-route the
trail due to the planned expansion of the golf
course to 18 holes.
Heading north from Apsley on E-107, the trail remains the
same heading out of town until just south of the Marvel
Rapids Golf Club property. Instead of entering the golf
course and crossing the bridge as in years gone by, the
trail will now proceed north on the western edge of the golf
course boundary following private trails. It will then swing
west and cross Hwy. 28 and follow a private hydro line north
to Eel's Lake Rd. The trail will follow along Eel's Lake
Road for a short distance (approx. 400 meters) and will then
head west along the West Eel's Lake summer maintained road
for approximately 5.6km. From here it will tie into PTBSC
#624 (West Eel's Lake Route #72) and then continue past the
PTBSC #609 (Gerry McQuigge) junction and to Top Trail E-108.
From the E-108 junction you can head north towards the Club
House, Wilberforce and Harcourt or south towards the
Buckhorn Trails. The majority of this temporary re-route is
on private property. Please stay on the trail and do not
return to this property on your ATV next summer. It is
private land and you will not be welcomed. The club is
planning to use some of the old portions of the E-107 and
PTBSC #610 in the future once we complete the construction
of a water crossing over Eel's Creek and several km’s of new
trail.
